I am a common girl in senior high school.

 

In my mind I was not beautiful, not gentle, not excellent. I did not like to smile. I was not abasing myself. I just believed I was too common.

 

However, last month, when we changed seats, I got a new deskmate. Kind and lively she talked to me with a sweet smile on her face. She often said to me, “You are so beautiful today, Chen.” We got closer and closer. She broke my stereotype. She made me feel happy and have more confidence. Her words helped me see my strength. Then gradually more and more smiles appeared on my face. Some other girls gave me encouragement too. I ended up with new friendships.

 

Now I am not what I was. I have to owe my new self to my kind deskmate. I think her heart is very beautiful.
