MAY MOTHER RECOVER SOON

 

My home far away from school I cannot go home and stay with my parents on the weekend. I call them on the phone every Saturday night.

 

Last Saturday evening as soon as I went back to the dorm, I gave them a call. My mother did not answer it. I felt very strange. After I tried again, my granddad took it. I asked why my mother did not answer my call. Grandad said, “Your mother has been ill since Monday and she is in hospital now. Your father isn’t home either.” I got worried because my mother does not enjoy good health.

 

After I hung up, I was about to do my washing when the phone rang. Quickly I picked it up. My mother’s weak voice came over. Mother asked me if I was all right at school. I asked her about her condition. She said it was not nothing serious and told me not to worry. I felt she was trying to hold back her tears as she was talking. Worried as I was I could not do very much. I just wished mother would recover soon.

 

This weekend I called home again, but it was still my granddad on the landline. He said that mother was still in hospital. This time I called mother on her mobile. She reassured me that she would go home in a couple of days. She told me again not to worry about her but to give my attention to my lessons at school. After hanging up, I found tears streaming down my cheeks.

 

Hope mother will get better soon.
