On Saturday evening I was hanging out with my friend. When we passed People’s Square, we saw a billboard which read: PLEASE DONATE OLD CLOTHES, SHOES, BOOKS OR BAGS TO CHILDREN IN NEED. We also noticed some volunteers working on the old articles that had been collected. Some of the contributed clothes were very nice; nearly all of them were clean.

After musing a while, I told my friend that I had hoarded lots of used clothes, shoes and bags back at home. There was no possibility that I would ever use them again because I had outgrown them. As far as I could remember, they were stacked in a wardrobe, clean and tidy.
Half an hour later, I got home. I shared with Mother my idea of giving the old things away to those underprivileged who lived in remote villages. Delighted at it, she said that she had been worried that we were running out of room for my used stuff at home. Since I had grown out of it, she agreed that it was a good alternative to dispose of it by donating. That way my room would be decluttered. Mother helped me sort it out. When everything was packed, we went to the square and handed the bundle over to the volunteers.
Shengliver, I am sure that your daughter must have some old stuff that is no longer in use. Why not help her give it away to the needy? A recycled or reused article takes a second life.
