My Angel

Shengliver’s Note: The baby sis cannot walk or talk yet, but she is speaking volumes to her brother.

As you know, Shengliver, I have got a lovely baby sister, who is about eight months old. Lately, she has been growing fast. I can feel her getting smarter day by day, and her daily progress never fails to amaze me.

One evening on my way home from school, I was starving so I bought a bowl of noodles and an egg at a food stand. Turning the key in the keyhole at the door of my flat, I heard my sister giggling on the other side. With the door open a crack, a smiling face greeted me. My sister was waiting for me there on the floor as usual. A wave of warmth surged inside me.

As I was walking to the sofa, her eyes followed the meal in my hand. After I sat down, she crawled over, looked up and beamed at me. That eager smile meant she wanted to eat my food. After consulting Mother, I picked up a noodle and put it in her mouth. She swallowed it with relish. Then I fed her some egg. When we finished this wonderful meal, so pleased was she that she grinned at me again and again. It was a heavenly time. How cute my sister was!

I will buy my sis some different food next time. I bet she will be more than happy to try it.
