A few days ago, I became a day student. The flat where I lodge off campus is on the 20th floor of a tower block, so riding the elevator up and down has become part of my routine.
One day after a long wait, I managed to squeeze into a packed elevator. There was only a woman who was not wearing a school uniform, which meant that all the other riders on board the elevator were students of YYHS. I got on the elevator at the fifth floor, so it would go down to the 1st floor before it could come back up. When the figure 1 appeared on the indicator panel, the door opened. That woman got off and another woman stepped in.

An awkward thing happened. The indicator panel displayed a message, which read, “Overweight. Cannot move.” The elevator door wouldn’t close with the message flashing.
Incredulous, the woman asked, “Didn’t someone walk out just now? Why does it show it is overweight? It can’t be. It is impossible!” Simultaneously, she repeatedly pressed the button which controls the door, but her effort was in vain. The door simply would not shut. Eventually, the woman, flourishing her hands in the air, vacated the lift with a hopeless exclamation, “It’s impossible!!!”
Immediately the woman backed out, the elevator door locked automatically, and we started to go up. The next moment heard someone laughing quietly in the elevator. I could not hold back my mirth, either.
