In this post, I will blog about a scary and embarrassing experience that happened when I was a junior high schooler.
On the final day of that term, I planned to play games on my phone all night to celebrate the beginning of the summer vacation. The idea infatuated me so that I even forgot that I would have to sit an important English test the next day.

After dinner that evening, I lied to my parents, claiming that I would be burning the midnight oil and that they should not disturb me. Then I locked my room door from inside, logged into my favourite game and updated it.
Time flew as I was gaming into the wee small hours of the night. I was about to quit the game and retire to bed when a player joined in. He was going with so finesse that he caught my eye. I invited him to play some rounds with me. We clicked right away. The chemistry between us just right, we ended up sharing a lot. We eventually exchanged QQ numbers and became QQ buddies.
On the IM, the instant the new mate’s QQ avatar greeted my eye, my heart missed a beat. It was the same as my Dad’s.
The next moment, my father stormed into my room, grabbed my phone and gave me a lengthy lecture. It was the darkest night I have ever had, Shengliver. Oh lord, never had I imagined that the strict serious man would do the game so late so well.
This funny yet petrifying incident has taught me that we should protect our privacy online and never give away our personal data. You never know who the person you game with really is.
