INNOCENCE
Yesterday I hung around with my friends on the street. We saw a beggar, but we walked past and ignored him. It is widely believed that nowadays a lot of guys pretend to be poor but that in fact they do not have to beg for a living.
As we were walking away, a little boy went up and gave some money to the man. The mother scolded him for doing it, but the boy insisted that the man was really poor. He said, “I just want to help him.”
The boy was so innocent that he moved us all. His act of kindness helped us to see that children’s inner world is simple and pure. Their genuine trust in human nature is most beautiful.
