On Saturday evening, my friend Ruby and I were on the way home after a get-together at a restaurant, when I became aware of a man following us closely. I asked Ruby, “Do you know the guy behind us?”
She replied, “No, I have never met him before. Don’t you think he is creepy? I’m a bit scared.”
Holding onto each other’s hand, we quickened our pace and rushed to a bus shelter. To our dismay, there was no light there. Worse still, the stranger was coming so fast that he was almost on our heels.
Angry and alarmed, I took out my umbrella and seized it firmly in hand just in case. Should he dare to misbehave, I would fight back.
When the man was almost upon us, I turned around abruptly and looked him straight in the face. Then I led my friend to a KFC, where I borrowed a phone and called my father.
About ten minutes later Father came. Seeing Father, I released a huge sigh of relief. My heartbeat came back to normal gradually.
Luckily nothing serious happened this time. This experience reminds me to watch out for bad guys when I am out. It is not guaranteed that everyone out there is as normal as you and I. I think I should go and pick up some kung fu techniques at the gym.
