THE RECENT ISSUE WITH TELL ME MORE
Somewhere around the middle of December 2015, after an update of the Windows 8.1 system, my favourite English skills software Tell Me More failed to start. After I double clicked on the app icon, the PC screen turned black. A right click of the mouse showed a message that the movie is not loaded.
After many attempts, I have resolved the issue. The Internet Explorer on Windows 8.1 embodies Adobe Flash Player plugin. The black screen is a result of Tell Me More’s incompatibility with the new version of Flash Player 20. The trick is to downgrade the Flash Player from 20 to 19. When the Internet Explorer on Win 8.1 is updated and patched, the Flash Player is upgraded with it.
Therefore I went to Programs and Features and checked out the installed updates. After I uninstalled Update 3132372 (update December 2015), Tell Me More came back to life.
Thank Goodness.
